L'escargot à grain d'avoine occidental (Chondrina avenacea), également appelé escargot à grain d'avoine, est un escargot vivant dans la terre appartenant à la famille des escargots de maïs (Chondrinidae). Il vit exclusivement sur les algues endolithiques, auxquelles on gratte la surface des roches calcaires, y compris les algues et les lichens qui y vivent.
