La calotta varia in lunghezza tra 33 mm e 86 mm. Il colore del guscio varia dal marrone arancio al color cioccolato, coperto da piccole macchie bianche e sovrapposto da più grandi macchie triangolari bianche, a volte formando bande sulla spalla, al centro e alla base.
