Il cymatogaster aggregata (Cymatogaster aggregata) è un pesce persico che si può trovare nelle lagune, nelle baie e negli estuari. Il suo nome scientifico di origine greca significa "ventre gonfio" e si riferisce al fatto che le uova di questa specie non vengono depositate, ma si sviluppano invece nel corpo delle femmine. I meno esperti possono confonderlo con il Tule persico che però ha più spine sulla pinna dorsale.
