Description
Abudefduf abdominalis is a ray-finned fish species from the family of reef bass or coral damsels (Pomacentridae). The scientific name of the species was first validly published in 1825 by Jean René Constant Quoy and Paul Gaimard. The species was discovered in the Sandwich Islands (= Hawaii) on the expedition of the French corvettes l'Uranie and la Physicienne from 1817-1820.
