Description
The fish is endemic to the South African coast from False Bay to Durban. In Afrikaans he is known as the Koester. The head and body are yellowish brown to almost yellow in color and are covered with small orange speckles. There are also brown spots scattered on the body. The cattail is like the anal fins dark gray. The fish is 35 cm large and the fish is found at depths of 1 - 25 meters.
