The reef-dwelling honeycomb cowfish is protected by a coat of armor made of large scales. A fish that can change its colors, it camouflages well along the reefs and sea bed, where it can stay still and hide for an extended amount of time. Not often seen by divers, the honeycomb cowfish is best observed in large public aquariums that offer an underwater view of sea creatures.
