Description
Rock bass (Ambloplites rupestris) is a small North American fish that congregates around rocky riverbanks. Groups of them will feed on smaller fish (including babies of their own species) as well as crustaceans and insects. Since they are common and don't shy away from human activity, rock bass are considered game fish. The largest specimen on record weighed only 1.36 kg, though, so they're not highly sought after.
