Description
The american silver perch (Bairdiella chrysoura) lives in inshore saltwater environments with sandy or muddy bottoms. They mostly feed on worms, crustaceans, and smaller fish. They are very common along the Eastern Seaboard of North America and in the Gulf of Mexico, where they are often caught for Southern fish fry events.
