Description
The robust buerger's frog is very similar to the Japanese stream treefrog (Buergeria japonica), but it's much larger. The species is highly variable, with genetically divergent populations on the two sides of the Taiwan island. It breeds at dusk in nearby streams, laying eggs directly in water. During the daytime, it rests on trees.
