Knobbed whelk (Busycon carica) is a predatory sea snail. It is the second largest busycon whelk species in the world. The knobbed whelk can live in shallow and deep water along the North Atlantic coast of North America. This species can be consumed as food and its shell can be formed into a bugle horn.
