Description
Horse-eye jack (Caranx latus) is an Atlantic shoaling fish, and a popular food and game fish, although they carry a risk of ciguatera poisoning. Commonly seen on offshore reefs, single horse-eye jacks are wary of divers but shoals will sometimes gather all around them, presumably attracted to the air bubbles that the divers exhale.
