Magpie perch (Cheilodactylus nigripes) is a morwong fish that swims off the coast of southern Australia and New Zealand. Known for being able to change its appearance, the fish can rapidly make its bold central black stripe disappear. The magpie perch eats algae and mollusks from the bottom of reefs.
