Description
Endemic to the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific, bleeker's parrotfish (Chlorurus bleekeri) is a hermaphroditic species that feeds on algae. As with most parrotfish, the males are brighter than the females, and there is one male that dominates a group of females. If the male disappears, a female will become male and take his place.
