Bay nettle (Chrysaora chesapeakei) is a species of stinging jellyfish. Although its stings are not fatal to humans (barring an allergic reaction), such stings can be uncomfortable. As its name suggests, it is native to the Chesapeake Bay, where its presence is both helpful and harmful to local fishing industries.
