The rosyside dace (Clinostomus funduloides) is found in fresh water in the eastern United States. It prefers small, fast-moving streams with clear water. The rosyside dace primarily eats small insects and larvae. When spawning, it sometimes uses nests created by chubs. In other cases, the eggs are simply scattered.
