Description
A freshwater fish, the banded sculpin uses its wide bands of light and dark colors to camouflage itself against the bottom of the stream. Hiding during the day and hunting at night, the banded sculpin is often harvested as bycatch and used as bait to catch more desirable fish. An acceptable candidate for a home aquarium, its unusual appearance can make it an interesting addition.
