 Description

Widely considered a pest, the grey field slug is an invader of commercial crops and residential landscapes. It produces a clear mucous that turns white when the slug is crushed. Every slug is a hermaphrodite and is capable of producing and fertilizing eggs. Typically laying about 500 eggs, slugs reproduce rapidly and begin feeding on tender plants soon after hatching.
