Description
The ouachita dusky salamander (Desmognathus brimleyorum) has a relatively small range in the US states of Oklahoma and Arkansas. The female ouachita dusky salamander will lay her eggs in a muddy chamber on land, and will remain to guard them until they hatch. Newly-hatched larvae move to the water, where they seek out hiding spaces between stones or other debris.
