Description
The spotted leopard dorid likes to feed on sponges and has the amazing ability to breathe through the skin if its gills are lost or damaged. Almost indistinguishable from the Ring-spotted dorid (Diaulula sandiegensis), some authorities suggest that it's impossible to determine whether these two are the same or different species. Both types have distinctive spots on their mantle, and they behave similarly.
