Description
The little tunny (Euthynnus alletteratus) is among the smallest of the tuna species. It's also considered to have a less desirable flavor than its larger cousins. Little tunny is, however, the most common tuna found in the Atlantic Ocean, so it is still commercially harvested. Consumption of its flesh does carry a risk of ciguatera poisoning.
