Description
Helicodonta obvoluta is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Helicodontidae. The distribution of this species is spread over large parts of Europe, where it inhabits deciduous and mixed forests. This species is sometimes called the "cheese snail" because the shape of the shell resembles that of a wheel of cheese.
