Calico crab (Hepatus epheliticus) is an Atlantic crab that dwells in shallow waters on sandy, muddy substrates. The calico crab sometimes carries a sea anemone on its back. When it is not on the move, it has been observed to remain still, buried in the sand, with only its eyes visible.
