Description
The pinfish (Lagodon rhomboides) is a small tropical saltwater fish that prefers water 9 - 15 m deep. It does best in high-salinity conditions. They mainly feed on fish eggs, worms, shrimp, and insect larvae when young; as they mature, plant matter will make up the majority of their diet. Pinfish are occasionally used by anglers as bait for larger fish.
