Description
Native to Australia, the sergeant baker is the only species of its kind. It is named in English after Sergeant William Baker of the British Royal Navy, as he was reported to have been the first English-speaking colonist to catch one of these fish. This fish will bite at most bait food, but its best human use is generally as bait for catching better-tasting fish.
