The smoky jungle frog (Leptodactylus pentadactylus) is a species of frog in the family Leptodactylidae. Its local Spanish name is sapo-toro comun (roughly, "common bullfrog"). It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical swamps, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, rivers, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, and aquac
