Description
Mangrove red snapper (Lutjanus argentimaculatus) is a common marine fish of the Indo-West Pacific region and northerly Australian. It has also occasionally been found in the eastern Mediterranean. Young mangrove red snappers start their lives in the mangrove estuaries, and gradually move offshore to deeper reef areas as they grow up. Mangrove red snapper is harvested for market throughout the Indo-Pacific region, especially in Malaysia and Pakistan.
