Description
The round goby (Neogobius melanostomus) is a soft-bodied fish that can adapt to a wide range of salinity conditions. It feeds on crustaceans, mollusks, fish eggs, worms, and other small fare found on the bottom of its habitat. The pelvic fins of the round goby are fused to create a sort of suction cup that it uses to adhere to objects on the river or ocean floor.
