Description
The rockmover wrasse (Novaculichthys taeniourus) lives in shallow reefs and lagoons around the Indo-Pacific. Juveniles sport spinelike extensions from the fins and mottled skin to blend in with seaweed; adults lose the spines but become distinctly spotted. Both looks make them popular in the aquarium trade. Do not keep them with smaller, docile tankmates as they will try to eat them.
