 Description

Coho salmon starts its lifecycle in freshwater but migrates to the coastal ocean where it spends most of its life. It migrates back to the upper reaches of freshwater streams only to spawn. Commercial fishing operations harvest many of these delicious fish in North America and Asia, leading (in combination with habitat loss) to a serious decline in global population.
