Description
The thickhead chub (Opsariichthys pachycephalus) is a species of minnow found only in Taiwan. As their spawning season approaches, males become very aggressive toward each other. The dominant male who wins these fights will be the main spawning partner for the females he impresses. However, other males may sneak in when a female releases her eggs to attempt to fertilize some themselves.
