Description
Hottentot (Pachymetopon blochii) is a small marine fish native to southeastern parts of the African Atlantic. It is an important fish in the region's small-scale fisheries, captured through a variety of fishing methods and also as by-catch in gill-nets. Hottentot is the most common host of the endemic South African parasitic isopod (crustacean) Anilocra capensis.
