Description
The star flounder (Platichthys stellatus) is a flatfish from the coastal waters of the northern Pacific. They live from Japan across the Bering Sea, along the coasts of Alaska and Canada to Santa Barbara. The star flounder prefers brackish water and stays close to the coast, often in estuaries. It hikes up to 120 km up the rivers.
