Pleuroploca trapezium, common name : the trapezium horse conch or striped fox conch, is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Fasciolariidae, the spindle snails, the tulip snails and their allies.This species is sought after for food but also to be used as a trumpet when the tip of the spire is cut off.
