An air-breathing land snail, the southern flatcoil is a small little snail often found feeding on live and dead plants. The heart-shaped opening in its shell gives it a unique appearance, while the rest of its shell closely resembles a coiled rope. It has been rumored to invade crops of legumes, clover and alfalfa.
