Description
An attractive jellyfish, the red-eye medusa is named for its red-ringed eyespots, which cover the bell's margin, and the approximately 120 tentacles it uses to collect zooplankton from the ocean floor. The tentacles allow the red-eye medusa to hop along the sea bottom while stirring up the sand to reveal crustaceans and other sea organisms.
