Description
Blue fish (Pomatomus saltatrix) are swift-moving, predatory ocean-dwellers that prey on smaller fish. Newly hatched blue fish fry are considered zooplankton because they merely drift with the ocean current. As they mature, though, they become strong swimmers. In some cases, they can be very aggressive and may bite human divers or swimmers. Blue fish meat can be eaten, but tends to spoil quickly.
