A reef-dwelling species, dark-banded fusilier (Pterocaesio tile) feeds largely upon zooplankton. Despite its beautiful coloring, it is only rarely found in aquaria; it will attempt to consume smaller fish, and, if startled, it may try to to jump from the tank.
