Commonly found in bogs, ponds and meadows, the cascades frog is becoming a threatened species in California. Their dependence on a clean water source for breeding means little to no reproduction during times of drought. Populations of the cascades frog are still substantial in other regions along the Pacific Coast but concerns rise over decreasing numbers from predator attacks and loss of habitat.
