Description
The brackish water trough mussel (Rangia cuneata) is a mussel kind from the family of the Trough mussels (Mactridae). It is an invasive species of brackish water in Europe, the occurrence of which was first detected on the Belgian coast in 2006 and in 2016 on the German North Sea coast. The original distribution area is the coastal waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
