The sawfish (Serranus cabrilla) is a medium-sized sea fish from the sawfish family (Serranidae). It lives in the entire Mediterranean, in the western Black Sea and in the eastern Atlantic from the coasts of the British Isles to South Africa, as well as in the Azores, Madeira and the Canary Islands. Occurrences in the Red Sea are uncertain.
