Blackfin barracuda (Sphyraena qenie) aggregates in large, stationary groups during the day that may occupy the same sites (such as coral reefs) for months or years at a time. At night, individuals disperse to feed on various smaller fishes. It is fished commercially and hunted as a gamefish.
