Description
The bonnethead shark (Sphyrna tiburo) is the only shark known to be omnivorous. It is a member of the hammerhead family and primarily eats blue crabs but will also munch on shrimp, mollusks, and seagrass. Bonnethead sharks give birth to live young after about five months of gestation. In rare cases they're also capable of parthenogenesis (reproduction without male fertilization).
