Description
Atlantic needlefish (Strongylura marina) is a bottom-dwelling Atlantic fish with a characteristically long, thin body and elongated, pointy jaw. The species inhabits areas with minimal water flow - marinas, bays, and estuaries - and it is even capable of moving upstream into fresh water. Although it may look frail, atlantic needlefish is a predatory species which feeds exclusively on other fish as an adult.
