Description
The Bastard or Holzmakrele (Trachurus trachurus), also called Stöcker or Suri, is a marine fish, which occurs on the coasts of the northeastern Atlantic from Norway to South Africa, as well as in the Mediterranean Sea. On the coast of southern Africa, the hawk mackerel can be found up to the height of Maputo and thus reaches the extreme southwestern Indian Ocean.
