Description
Whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus) is a small species (up to 1.6 m long) which is one of the most common sharks of the Indo-Pacific coral reefs. It is one of only a few shark species that don't need to constantly swim to breathe. It rarely attacks humans, although it is known to accidentally bite spearfishers when trying to steal their prey.
