Conch shell solid and convex, about the same height as it is wide. There are 4-5 convex, slowly increasing windings that are separated by a deep and clear suture. The mouth opening is almost circular. There is a thickened continuous continuous mouth edge and a narrow half-covered navel. The apex is blunt. The sculpture of the shell surface consists of fine regular growth lines, the shell surface is furthermore smooth and shiny. Spiral ridges are sometimes present. The shells are semi-transparent and light yellow to blue green in color. Like all plume carriers, this species has a thin horn-like operculum that is multi-spiral and has 6-7 turns.
